Summary0000655: dot crash, possibly involving compound edges
Description

Running "dotty bad.dot" results in:

<CD>
dot: compound.c:450: makeCompoundEdge: Assertion `bez->eflag' failed.
graph parser: syntax error near line 43
context: >>> Abort <<<
dot: compound.c:450: makeCompoundEdge: Assertion `bez->eflag' failed.
dotty.lefty: giving up on dot
dotty.lefty: graph that causes dot
dotty.lefty: to fail has been saved in file dottybug.dot
dotty.lefty: please fill out a bug report at
dotty.lefty: http://www.graphviz.org/bugs/bugform.html [^]
</CD>

However, dotty does run successfully if the last edge in the graph is removed.
Perhaps there's just an error in the input file, but it wasn't obvious to me.
Additional Information

[erg] The recursive call to dot_splines for flat edges was normalizing
the edge twice, thereby making it bad again.
