Description

I found ./dotneato/common/figgen.c to be somewhat inconsistent with the fig format as described in <http://www.xfig.org/userman/fig-format.html> [^] :

1. : comments associated with the whole figure are inserted between the "transparent color" and the "resolution + coord_system" header lines;

2. : in TEXT objects, backslashes are used only to represent characters above '\177' by "\xxx", where "xxx" is the octal value (as well as to escape other backslashes).

The included patch is supposed to fix both points. At least I was able to include accentuated letters in labels and still open the generated .fig with XFig 3.2.3d :)
Steps To Reproduce

graph test_graph {
# This node is supposed to be labelled \aà"
  test_node [label="\\aà\""];
}
