|Assigned To||Arif Bilgin|
|Platform||Mac||OS||Mac OS X||OS Version||10.6.8|
|Summary||0002119: gvedit does not activate on launch|
|Description||With gvedit installed by MacPorts, if gvedit is opened by typing "gvedit" on the command line, gvedit launches, but its window appears behind the terminal window instead of in front of it as expected.|
If gvedit is instead launched in the Finder by double-clicking a properly-created app bundle, such as the gvedit port now creates*, then the app comes to the front as expected.
It would be nice if running gvedit from the command line would also bring the window to the front.

This one is more puzzling, since when I run /opt/local/bin/gvedit from the command line, the window
pops right to the top on both leopard and snow leopard.
