Summary0002078: Installation blocking error caused by Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable
Description



As reported earlier on Vista (http://www.graphviz.org/bugs/b1829.html [^]), in some conditions installation will fail on Windows 7.



This seems to be caused by this bug in Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable: http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/121817/error-1935-an-error-occurred-during-the-installation-of-assembly-microsoft-vc80-mfc-processorarchitecture-x86-publickeytoken-1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b. [^]

I think this error most likely happens on computers which already have Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable installed.
So, two possible fixes:
