PlatformOSLinux - Debian TestingOS Version
Summary0001975: -Tpdf output has wrong page size
Description

Hi,

Bug submitted by Debian User Joachim Breitner <[email protected]> ...

The attached .dot file has a carefully chosen bounding box. When
creating a pdf using -Tps2 and then ps2pdf, the resulting file has the
correct dimensions (555 x 52 pts). Using -Tpdf, though, the resulting
file has padding and is larger (627 x 124 pts).

Cheers,

  David.

Debian bug #594585

There are two attributes that add space around a drawing: pad and margin. The former adds to the drawing; the latter
is basically a translation to shift the drawing away from the edge of a page (where printers don't usually print). The
default margins differ between output formats, hence the different sizes. If you set margin=0 as well as pad=0 you
should get a 555 x 52 pt image in pdf.
