|Summary||0001914: Not obvious how (maybe not possible) to create create new document on OS X|
I just downloaded the current stable version and the development snapshot to create a simple
graph. What I couldn't figure out was how to create a new document to draw my graph in.
1. Start Graphviz
2. Click Cancel in the 'Open' Dialog (as you don't have a document yet.
What now? There is no empty document opened for you nor is there a 'New' Tab in the
Easy way to create a new document.
I also tried this:
1. Create empty file (something.dot)
2. Open document in Graphiviz
Graphviz shows an empty Document the can be edited.
Maybe I'm just too fast asleep or too stupid to catch my error. But neither the
Application nor the Documentation does gives any clue to a new user here.
[erg] The Graphviz app is a viewer only; you can't create a graph or edit
a graph's topology using it, hence no New tab. The input file needs to contain
a valid graph.
On the other hand, the application shouldn't crash on an empty file but should
report an error and then wait for valid input.
