Summary0001842: Manpage corrections
Description

Hi,

I've made a few minor changes to some of the manpages in the patch below.
This was spurred by my desire to reduce some of the warnings returned by
debian's "lintian" tool. One of the things this tool does is run
"man --warnings" on all manpages and report the results.

You will notice I've removed the \*(eX variable reference from the first
line of several manpages. I've also changed or removed several groff
commands. This is because man --warnings was complaining about them and
neither I nor Google seemed to know what these were. If there is some
reason for them to be in there then that's no problem, I can work around them.

I've also thrown in a few spelling corrections for good measure ;-)

I would appreciate it if you could take a look and let me know what you
think.

Cheers,

  David.
