Summary0001698: Alpha value not done correctly in libgd
Description

Running dot -Tgif:gd, one gets a red line between 2 and 3.
Also, with -Tpng:gd, one \<A HREF="b1750.png"\>gets\</A\> a black line between 2 and 3.
(By the way, if the png file is viewed using Firefox or Safari, there is no line between 2 and 3. The black line appears in xv, display, and preview.)
-Tgif:cairo works okay.

Additional Information

[ellson] Given that the GIF format only supports a single transparent color in its palette, I'm not sure what you are expecting?

Basically, don't use GIF. Definitely don't use its transparency for anything but backgrounds.

Also, xv doesn't deal with transparency properly. I use "display" or "eog" or "firefox" for transparency tests.
