Summary0000145: Improved error reporting
Description

Would it be possible in a future version of the tools to include
the name of the file (at the same time as the line number) when
reporting an error? Currently, the emacs mode can find all the
information it needs to jump to the file and line in case of an error,
but it is a bit hackish. The same way as gcc and a lot of other tools
would nice:
<CD>
 <file.ext>:<linenr>: <message>
</CD>
Additional Information

[north,ellson] Adding this for parsing errors would involve simple
changes to libgraph and libagraph. To do errors reported later, especially
during rendering (missing font errors, unsupported colors, etc,),
reporting the file is simple, but to report line numbers would mean
attaching these numbers during parsing to the graph objects or their
attributes.

See bug 218.
