|0001363||graphviz||Dotty/Lneato/Lefty||public||2008-07-23 16:29||2011-04-28 04:03|
|Platform||OS||*-*-Linux version 220.127.116.11-47.f||OS Version|
|Summary||0001363: Please modify dotty_layout.lefty to return node.attr.rects.|
I need to determine which record in a node a user is pointing to, in order
to connect records from different(or same) nodes together.
To make this possible, 'layoutgraph', needs to return the node.attr.rects information.
dotty.lefty erases(removes) old node.attr.rects, but does not return
the new data.
I had modified this code and had it working
a long time ago, but seem to have lost the changes.
Run "dotty /tmp/a.dot"
Right click on a node and select "print attr"
'rects' is missing.
[tyviz] Please remove this bug report 0001397. It turns out I really need
node.fields returned, not node.attr.rects.
Also, I figured out how to modify dotty.lefty dynamically to return
node. fields and there is joy in graphics again.
I imagine making this change a permanent part of dotty.lefty would
cause other folks programs to fail due to
lack of memory for very large graphs.
I notice the lefty is to be 'deprecated'. Since my program has 4,505
lines of lefty code at about 20LOC/day, this
is somewhat disturbing.
