Summary0001309: dot produces blank PDF file from large graph
Description

Running the following command:
<CD>
  dot -Tpdf c1908.dot -o c1908.pdf
</CD>
on the attached dot file produced a 407Kbyte PDF file.
However, when I view that PDF file, all I see is white.
Additional Information

[erg] The pdf file is fine and displays correctly using Preview on the
mac. I'm guessing that, since the output size (30356,7280) exceeds the
official PDF limit of 14400, whatever viewer you are using just quietly
gives up.

It would certainly be nice if the PDF generator in Cairo would warn
about this. If you create a PDF file the old-fashioned way, using
-Tps2 and ps2pdf, you get this warning.

[ellson] I've added an error message for attempts to allocate cairo_surface_t with width or height >= 32768
(which exceeds some limitation in cairo).
