Opening the resulting ak.svg file in IE (with Adobe SVG viewer, version 3.03, build 94)
produces blank output, no error messages, just blank space.

Running the same input file with -Tpng produces a perfectly valid PNG file.
Additional Information

Seems to be easily reproduceable in my situation.
The sample dot.txt file is pretty much what I use all the time.
And for all those cases, output to PNG works fine while SVG does not.

[erg] The svg output you supplied can be viewed fine using Firefox, amaya and inkscape. This is not to
say that there isn't something wrong with the dot output. You are using a version of dot which
is 3 1/2 years old, and we've made a lot of changes to the svg output during that time. Please
download and try a newer version of graphviz

   http://www.graphviz.org/Download_windows.php [^]

and see if that fixes the problem. In either case, please let us know what happens.

One other thing to check: when I view the file in Firefox or amaya, I also see a blank. This is because a
large portion of the upper left corner of the picture is blank. By scrolling to the right or down,
the graph drawing appears. Any chance this is happening in IE?

[Alexander.Koorkoff] I was truly shocked to find out that the problem I've been experiencing
had indeed to do with the fact that Adobe viewer with IE does not
provide any clue that the graph is much larger that the screen. There's
no scroll bars (even when loading SVG using IFRAME tag) so it was
natural for me to assume that something is wrong with the output.
