|Summary||0001059: Mrecord bounding boxes too small in svg output|
Labels in an Mrecord do not fit in the bounding boxes. Is this a problem
with Graphviz or just a font problem having to do with svg files? Both
Firefox and Gimp render the long IP addresses as overlapping each other.
Gif output, for example, seems fine.
'/cygdrive/c/Program Files/ATT/Graphviz/bin/dot' -Tsvg -Kdot -o overlap.svg overlap.dot
[erg] I think it must have to do with fonts available to your svg viewers.
When I view your svg file with gimp, amaya and imagemagick, it looks fine
[owen] dding this line to my graph fixed things for me:
node [fontname="Courier New"];
Whatever the default font my system uses when no font is specified in the
svg file must not be what is expected by dot's layout.
[owen] Thank you for checking. Are you running on WinXP? If so, did you do anything
special with your fonts in Gimp? I'm a real newby with Gimp.
[erg] Ah, you're on Windows, which has its own font names and conventions.
To get the Times-Roman font intended, you probably need to say fontname="Times New Roman"
or just fontname="times".
[owen] Sorry for all of the replies, but I spoke too soon. Specifying "Courier New"
fixed my small test case (overlap.dot), but my larger graphs still show the
|Tags||No tags attached.|
