I've been taking the layouts produced by "dot" into a 3D OpenGL enviroment through a program specifically written for this purpose. I need the 3rd dimension to display certain graph properties unique to the problem I am solving. So, it is with some interest that I stumbled upon Smyrna and noticed the similarity. Is it still being actively developed and if so, what is the roadmap?

Thanks much.

Smyrna is a reasonably good

Smyrna is a reasonably good alpha version for viewing Graphviz output, especially large graphs where nodes are displayed as points/balls. Our intention was to produce a new, web-based version using WebGL. However, over the past several years, we have lost the services of just about everyone working on Graphviz, so there probably won't be any further development on Smyrna for a while unless someone else helps.
