Title: EPS somehow broken in 1.9 (worked 1.8.4)
Submitter: Hugo Gävert

Subsys: output
Version: 1.9
System: x86-Windows-2000
Severity: critical
Problem:
I have now created 3 graphs using the 1.9 release. It fixed at least one visible but that I had with 1.8.4. But the graphs are useless as I create .EPS -files from them, but they do not work in Word. Here is what I do:
  1. create the graph
  2. turn it into .EPS with: "dot -Tps2 c:test.dot -o c:test.eps"
  3. open word, and insert the test.eps -image.
  4. print it to PS printer (Lexmark with PS3) - nothing ever comes out of the printer
  5. try to turn the page into PDF with Acrobat 4 by using the Acrobat button on the word (goes through the page, prints it to a PS-file with PS printer, then distilles it) - but that fails with Acrobat saying it can not distill the file.

So, that is now with the new 1.9 release. IF I use 1.8.4 (for all 3 graphs that I've done so far with 1.9) everything works. Word prints the page correctly to the printer, and acrobat manages to create a fine PDF.

So it seems that something is wrong in creating the EPS file. But not everything as ghostview is able to show the resulting .eps from both versions of dot.
Input:

Any graph, see above
Comments:
[erg] I am unable to duplicate the problem. I ran dot -Tps2 on a dot file, used insert figure in Word to import the figure, and printed the figure. Also, I was able to use both distiller and ps2pdf to convert the output into pdf.
