Problem:
the following dot file is acceptable to an old version of dot on my mac (dot version 1.13 (v16) (Mon August 23, 2004)) but not to the latest version of dot on a linux box (dot version 2.8 (Fri May 12 00:21:01 UTC 2006) (this may also apply to windows but we haven't tested on that yet)
the problem is that dot writes nothing to stdout and simply writes "Aborted" to standard error - i've perused the graphviz lists for some mention of this problem but nothing jumped out at me - any idea what's going on?
