Title: Dotty doesn't work properly on Linux Red Hat 7.2
Submitter: Erik arner
Date: Mon Jul 22 09:49:59 2002
Subsys: Dotty/Lneato/Lefty
Version: 1.8.5
System: x86-Linux-Kernel: 2.4.7-10, Dist: Red Hat 7.2
Severity: critical
Problem:
No error messages when installing graphviz-1.8.5 from the rmp:

bash# rpm -i graphviz-1.8.5-0.i386.rpm bash# uname -a Linux random 2.4.7-10 #1 Thu Sep 6 17:27:27 EDT 2001 i686 unknown

When running dotty, the right-click menu shows up but nothing can be selected from it. Vertices can be added and selected, but no commands can be applied to the graph using the mouse.

No error messages during the run of the program.
Input:

Any input .dot file I tested. Also when starting with an empty graph and adding vertices to it.
Fix:
[erg] According to later mail from Erik, this is basically the same problem as b169 and allows the same solution, an upgrade to 4.2.0. Lefty also notes that this problem can sometimes be caused by having the numlock key on.
